Penn State may Acquire O.W. Houts

O.W. Houts, a department store and wharehouse adjacent to CPCH has plans to be purchased by Penn State as part of a "strategic property" for future use. Penn State is planning to purchase 7 parcels, totaling 4.64 acres. This purchase will include the parking lot across the street from CPCH.
CPCH supported O.W. Houts as a local business during its operation, and we were sad to see it go. "Houts" closed abruptly when students returned from Winter Break.
CPCH has not decided if any action will be taken in support of or in opposition to the proposal.
