Central PA Community Housing (also called the co-op and Houseasaurus) is a housing cooperative located in Central Pennsylvania that formed in 2005. We strive to provide sustainable and socially and environmentally responsible housing by and for members. To learn more, continue reading below and visit our blog.
Currently, CPCH occupies two rented properties on W. College Ave. in State College, PA. The co-op, or House-a-saurus as it’s otherwise known, currently resides at 833 W. College Avenue.
The co-op holds many events throughout the year, including hosting local and national music acts, art galleries, educational workshops, fundraisers, and potlucks. We strive to provide an inclusive, welcoming community space shared by all. Coming to a co-op event can be a great way to find out about us, we would love to give you a tour. We will advertise events on this website throughout the year, so stop back to check!
We are always taking new applications for membership. Please visit our wiki for our admissions process and then fill out an application. Prospective members should contact us at pacommunityhousing@gmail.com to set up a time to visit the house, meet the other members, and share in a dinner with us. We would love to have you!
We also accept applications for boarding members, who enjoy dinner and share in co-op food 7 days a week, but don’t have to live in the house. It can be a great way to eat delicious food and share in a community without having to live in the house!
